Diplocaulus
Found this crazy walliserops online, but with 4 rostrum prongs instead of 3! Is this 4th prong a complete fabrication, (such as the case for many a Hoplolichoides) or is it just a deformed bug?

Fossildude19
I think the entire rostrum may be added on, if not completely fabricated, as the attachment point to the cranidium looks like it was destroyed, then reconstructed. 1 4 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Mahnmut
Aloha, That would be a sensational deformed bug! Alas I do not think so either. The combination of a perfect looking, never heard of four-ender with a badly preserved connection point does not convince me. RJB
What amazes me is that someone took the time to create a fake 'proboscis' and got it wrong. Nice bug still. RB
