col
My son found this on a beach on the East Coast of the UK. We are used to finding items such as ammonites, crinoids etc but have no idea what this is. Please help!
Tidgy's Dad
Maybe a distorted ammonite. Could you be a little more precise with the location, please? Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Tidgy's Dad
Makes it a bit more difficult. The cliffs at Hornsea are ice age boulder clays containing erratics of Carboniferous, Jurassic and Cretaceous age. I still think it's an ammonite. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend. col
Thankyou for taking the time to reply, The rock is very light and it almost feels like you could split it with your hands, which we will do with a tool, hopefully it will reveal how much more runs through the core!
