Real or fake mammoth tusk

For the first tusk, here is a cross section photo. I believe you can see Schreger lines that are less than 90 degrees- which indicates mammoth. I'm new to this though, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TFF, Tom.  It is a great place for fossil hunters!!!

 

You are correct on the 1st one.. it has Schreger lines and just think how difficult that would be to make up. It also shows the concentric "rings"....typical of tusk material...

 

You did not show us the end of the 2nd one... I could just be a length of bone or fossilized wood,  etc

@Shellseeker Thank you I appreciate it. Annoyingly I couldn't seem to get a very clear picture of the latter piece. I've attached a couple but personally I couldn't spot any Schreger lines, but then again I'm a complete amateur at the moment
