ElBicho
Hi guys! I went to look for some bones on the beach like I always do when the river flow goes down, there's always something but the problem is that I never know what I found. The last time they helped me here to identify a whale humerus, thanks a lot! This time I found several bones, but I had to discard many because they were badly broken or did not look interesting. All of these are about the same (12-18cm) The one that looks better is that kind of vertebra, I searched with Google and it says it could be from a bison, but sounds weird a bison in a beach, and btw, the place where I found them is Uruguay, South America - where there never were bison I think. And sorry for the bad pics, but it was the last hours of sun, I can take others if required. Thanks!!
Rockwood
The one on the left is a metacarpal from a mammal I think. The second is a vertebra. You will need to wait for more information though. Just breaking the ice here.
Agent_Zigzag
Greetings! I am not a mammal expert, but I could see that the age of these bones are not really in the same. I could see one bison metatarsal (probably from the early age of colonization), and the rest I am not so sure. South America used to have unique ecosystem composed of mammals way different from the rest of the world, this is why expertise is required.
Fossildude19
We need to know the sizes of these items. Pictures with a ruler or meter stick in it will be helpful. ElBicho
Thank you all for your time, as @Rockwood and @Agent_Zigzag have said the left bone it is surely a metatarsal or metacarpal of a Bison. 5 hours ago, Fossildude19 said: We need to know the sizes of these items. Brandy Cole
The last picture of the large bone makes it look like a scapula to me, but others with more experience may have other suggestions. --Brandy

ClearLake
The scapula is definitely not cow, looks more like a horse. This is based on the position of the ridge that runs the length of the bone and the shape of the articular end. this is picture is off the web from Veterinary Anatomy World Edited October 23, 2021 by ClearLake
