Slab of brachiopod filled limestone from Michigan

While doing security rounds at work, I stumbled across a nice slab chocked full of brachiopods, tucked in dock-side rip-rap from Northern Michigan.  It's pretty dark outside, so the pictures aren't the best, but I do see several types in it.

Better pictures will follow once I get it home.

Nice chunk. Are you going to prep it somehow? Maybe cleave a piece off the bottom to expose more brachs concealed inside (if it is thick enough and there is a plane of weakness, meaning not too much risk of damaging the top surface - hard to tell from the pics)?

A pass with air abrasion should reveal the brachiopod bed and any other fossils that might be in the mix.

I'm new to prep work, although I've had success with other brachs in soft limestone.  Going to study it in good light, along with several other pieces I found.

Looking at it in daylight, there's quite a few pseudoaptyrid brachs in it.  Also some fractures that will help digging deeper into it
