Troodon
Update: The Tucson City Center Hotel which has been the center of the fossil/mineral side of the show has been sold to build an apartment complex. This answered the question why it was not a venue this year. Dealers located here have moved to other venues. Have heard the possibility of some international fossil dealers not coming due to the impact of travel requirements due to Covid.

Sjfriend
I've always thought the best way to see something like this is either filthy rich or dirt poor. Rich: buy what every you want Poor: don't have to stress over what you want to buy because you know you can't get anything so you just enjoy the view
TyrannosaurusRex
So looking forward to covid not preventing vendors from attending in the future!! I’ll be there the first weekend of February, really looking forward to it. I haven’t been since before I started college and I’ve missed it The last time I went was probably in 2017, so I’m itching to get out there again. Troodon, thank you for continuing to provide information, and I hope the surgery for your wife goes smoothly!

Troodon
Needed to go into Tucson today and it looks like all the big tents were up and ready for the show next week. Recently talked to a couple of the dealers and they appeared ready to go. Caution: The Tucson area continues to experience high omicron cases in fact we are hitting all time highs every day. Our hospital are booked with mainly unvaccinated individuals but also breakthrough cases. So please be careful and enjoy the show. 2
Joseph Kapler
It has been a couple of years since I made the Tucson Show. Remember, everything is negotiable, and watch out for fakes. I used to sell back in the early eighties. Talk to the sellers, explain your interests, and they will often cut you a good deal.

Hi Troodon, I know how much you look forward to the shows every year. I hope you have some time to hang out. Best wishes to your wife with one for a smooth surgery and recovery. I won't be there this year but hope to go next year when COVID is more under control. I've heard some dealers are already on the way. Troodon
I spent a couple of hours at a couple of show venues to see if anyone opened early and to visit a Moroccan dealer who always opens on Tuesday. I was super surprised to see all the activity at the Days Inn. Lots of European vendors were setting up and some were ready to go. My biggest surprise was to see two major dinosaur dealers up and running this early, they typically stumble in on Wed and are up by late week. The Kino Center had a key Moroccan dealer that moved there from Tucson City Center Venue but boy several of the other tents were full of fabricated, composite junk with lots of folks buying. Online dealers were very active today.... Hadro bones White River Material Triceratops jaw Edmontosaurus Metatarsal Edmontosaurus chevron Dromaeosaurid tibia Nanotyrannus vertebra Claim Trex coracoid bought it might be Nanotyrannus. Little work done to it. Thats a Trex tooth in the background when I returned a bit later it was gone. Struthiomimus vert in matrix 2
Troodon
Here is one of the Tents at the Keno Center..... Sad to see all this fake composite material. It soon will be at an online site or beach store near you These are Baby Crocomosasaurus skulls just about 8 inches long... cute they are.... 1 3

Troodon
One of the places I visited was a high end Moroccan supplier. A couple of quick shots of items I purchased. Large Kem Kem Spinosaurid rooted tooth (appox 6") and a large anterior Carcharodontosaurid rooted tooth (appox 4.5"). Resto free and roots that have a shine to them and a bigh 10" vert mising the neural spine - no idea whats its from at this point. 1
