Mark Kmiecik
And another four that I need help with. Thank you in advance. E0021 - Pecopteris? Other? E0040 - Mariopteris? Neuropteris? Best guess? Venation not clearly visible. E0098 - Cyclopteris obicularis? This one I'm fairly sure of. I0002 - Paleocaris typus? Acanthotelson? Other? 2 Mark. Mark Kmiecik
Still need some help with these. @connorp @deutscheben @fiddlehead @Nimravis @RCFossils @stats I would be grateful for your assistance with confirmation, ID, or even a guess at what these are. Thank you. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
connorp
@Mark Kmiecik Could you get a clearer picture of, or describe, the venation of E0021? It looks like the lateral veins are forking near the base and that's it, but it's hard to tell from the current picture.
Mark Kmiecik
@connorp Easier to see in the negative view. Veins fork once only, near the midvein of the pinnule. Venation is sparse with no intermediate non-forking veins. Edited December 8, 2021 by Mark Kmiecik adjust size and spacing Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them! I think you have E0021 sorted. E0098 is an orbicular pinnule from a Macroneuropteris scheuchzeri. I0002 is a Paleocaris typus. The tail gives it away. https://www.esconi.org/esconi_earth_science_club/2021/06/mazon-monday-65-species-spotlight-paleocaris-typus-fossil-mazoncreek-mazonmonday-paleontology-shrimp.html Cheers, Rich Edited December 14, 2021 by stats

I was waiting for someone else to notice the telson on I0002. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
