Today @PFOOLEY and I went behind the scenes at the NMMNH&S. 

Thanks to Dr. Spencer G. Lucas for letting us in and showing us some amazing specimens.

I am super thrilled to have had this opportunity to see these amazing specimens up close. 

I wish I could share all of the photos but there are a lot! I hope you enjoy...

 

Dr. Lucas was also kind enough to give me these bulletins...I have a lot of reading to do!

Lots of cool stuff but really love the heteromorphs!  Also, im wondering what the perfect round rock is in the one photo?  Great pics.

I'm scratching my head at that too. 

I ran through some seismosaurus hallorum literature but can't seem to find what it is...

The heteromorphs were donated from somebody in Utah. Amazing specimens!

The others are from many different places.

The collection is from a gentleman who lives in Utah...specimens are from many different localities.

@Opuntia, that was a pretty darn good time...I could have stayed all day looking at stuff.
