Mochaccino
Hello, Anyone know what species this is (and if it's legit)? The seller simply calls it a heteromorph from Germany, late Cretaceous ~ 60mya and measures about 10.8 cm long. abyssunder
It looks close to a Perisphinctidae ammonite, which is Jurassic. I don't think it's a heteromorph ammo. 2 2 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. abyssunder
Please wait Roger's opinion, he's an expert in ammo and he's from Germany. Ludwigia
Aegocrioceras capricornu is a species from the early Cretaceous in Resse which looks somewhat similar, but the ribbing is completely different. This appears to me, as abyssunder mentions, to be a deformed Perisphinctid. The fact that the inner whorls are missing is another reason for suspicion. I would pass on this one. 3 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
