plant material

I found this plant material in Union Springs, NY...at the conjuntion of Lower Devonian/Upper Silurian.  Along with this was found...ugh, can't remember the name.  Remind me of  bean sprouts...I think starts with a "C".  Is there enough to identify?

They look more like arthropod fragments to me. Trilobite, or maybe even eurypterid.

We did also find Euryptids in this area...mostly heads, but some thorax segments as well.  But was told by my friend who took me to this place that this was carbon from plant material.  Cooksonia was the name of the plant we found there.
