Hi everyone! just thought I would ask my friends on TFF if they think this is a partial meg tooth, I think it looks like one but I just want to be sure.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe? I see the indicators of a meg, but I’m a little confused about the crown of the tooth…it almost looks like a cusp (it almost looks like worn serrations going almost all the way around). Maybe it’s my eyes playing tricks on me though. Sorry, I’m sure that’s not much help.

Depending on where it was found, it may be a megalodon, or an older ancestor like a chub or angustiden depending where it was found.
