Crinoid columnals from Devonian Keyser Formation in Pennsylvania

I collected some crinoid columnals and a horn coral....weathered from the Devonian Keyser Formation limestone in Pennsylvania. As usual, preservation is not very good.

No need to downplay those crinoids, they look good! I like the brachiopod in the upper right corner, too.

Those are great.  If you are looking to ID your finds, just be aware that pieces of crinoid columnals can be difficult to ID very specifically, but your best bet is to look in “Classification and nomenclature of fossil crinoids based on studies of dissociated parts of their columns” by Moore and Jeffords (1968). It is available online. Keep up the hunting!

Yes, I have found Favosites also in some Keyser locations. The crinoids are always close to cherty layers.
