A more accurate localisation (County, formation, though not the exact site) is very important for an identification. Sophie. DPS Ammonite Posted December 28, 2021 Share Posted December 28, 2021 (edited) It looks like quartz and chalcedony that filled a vesicle in a volcanic rock such as basalt; very common in Oregon. The craters are where later deposited quartz/chalcedony formed against a botryoidal mineral that lined the cavity.
