Paleorunner
Hi guys, I'm interested in this Metacanthina issoumourensis from Morocco. According to the seller it has no restoration. It seems that the rest looks good, but I do not know if there may be something in the cephalon. as you see ?
Kane
Judging from these images, I don't see any obvious restoration on the majority of the cephalon, which seems to have the very fine microsculpture in evidence. The right cheek beneath and behind the eye may have a bit of touch-up. 1 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

fossilcrazy
Other than repairing a break in the matrix and Cephalon, I see very little repair. Trilobites like these are found by profile breaks. Another words the rock is broke and a collector doesn't know if there is a Trilobite unless they see it on the break. Repair is inevitable. I would be quite please with such a specimen.
Sjfriend
I was thinking with the crack clearly visible in the cephalon I doubt they did any real restoration. Would think if they did they would have hidden the crack more as well. As @fossilcrazy stated, since they are found by breaking the rock I am not worried about a clean crack. I would be more worried if no crack. Beauty of a trilobite.
