First Metengonoceras dumbli ammonite find

My first Metengonoceras dumbli ammonite  at the Walnut formation.   Although not complete, I've been searching this species of ammonite for many years.  Plenty of Oxy's, but never ever found this one.  This one measures around 4.5 inches / 114.3 mm.

Congrats! It sure is a satisfying feeling, isn't it, even though it's not perfect.

Ammonites offer that one advantage: all you need for a good identification is visible sutures…nice find.

Exactly, especially this one.  Sutures pattern are very unique to this species.
