Can somebody identify these please?

I sometimes stumble upon these strange fossils which I like to call 'mini surfboards'. I unsuccessfully searched a couple of times on the internet and found no similar photos to help me identify them. They've all been found on the clay layer. They all have a very similar pattern . Their size is usually around 3cm (even larger sometimes).

Moved to FOSSIL ID;)

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Can we have a location where these were found?  Any other fossils found there?

They look a bit like Conulariida, but, we need more information on where these were found to nail down the stratigraphy/geologic age.

Thanks for your replies. They're from the Blue clay layer in Malta, Europe (c.10-15million y.a.) They've all been found on beaches with recent clay erosion.

Wow! Thanks, @Al Dente! I am rarely using this word, but these are really "cool". Really learned something new!
