FF7_Yuffie
Hello, Any thoughts on this eggshell? Seller has a lot -- all from Nanyang in China. And sold as a bulk lot. But, of the three close in examples, can anyone ID them? I'm especially interested in the top most one. It has an unusual pattern to it with lots of long lines. There was a thread I had, I think from here, about ID'ing fossil eggshell and the different textures, but I can't find it now. Thanks The one on the right looks to be oviraptor?

Paleorunner
With a good deal of luck, time, and patience, you can get one or two whole eggs.
Nipponites
I can't help you with the identification, but eggs are not classified according to the animal that laid them. They are classified using another system called "veterovata", in this parataxonomy, they are classified according to shape, thickness, or ornamentation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_fossil 1

But seller said most collectors use loose eggshells to "repair" eggs they find. So these will be bits and pieces they couldn't use for that, I think. Still, I'll have a look through, see if any can be pieced together or are associated. Would be quite interesting if so. Hope there's some more unusual ones buried among it--there are quite a few different eggs found in Nanyang.
Troodon
I'm not going to able to help you identify these eggshells, very hard to believe any are associated. I attached a paper that covers the Nanyang dinosaur egg fossil group and identifies the different oospecies. A quite diverse mix of eggs. To date, 37 oospecies, 13 oogenera and 8 oofamilies of dinosaur eggs have been identified on the paper. The paper does not have closups of the shells. 1-s2.0-S1002007109002949-main.pdf 3

I knew a lot were from there, but not that many. Hope this eggshell pile contains a good mix of different ones.
