Unknown fossil?

Hi guys 

could anyone please help me I'd this please 

it appears to have some kind of skin or scale on it 

found here in the uk

About where in the UK did you find this and the other items you have been posting?  They are not fossils, but if we had an idea of the local geology we might be able to offer more specific suggestions.

I feel this is geological, though very pretty. In quite a lot of prominent places in Essex, the Red Crag sits atop the London Clay. Those areas were once shallow seas, and you would generally find marine fossils (if I’m not mistaken). I’m sure you can find terrestrial fossils of the sorts, but I don’t think you would find skin imprints in these locations.

I was just curious about these bits 

I live near Walton on the Naze 

Which has the London clay as you said

The conchoidal fractures of one end remind me of silex (flint). The outer patterns are close to isotropic crack layering. It could be a concretion/nodule. :)
