Found in the needmore formation of WV so early to mid Devonian. Thought these were crinoids cups for the longest time but I’ve looked and have yet to see an example that matches. I’ve found them a number of times out at this site and they always present exactly like this, down to size and placement of that center “seam”. As always, thank you for your time.

I’m going to disagree and say these are rostroconchs (I say this having perhaps a ridiculous number of them at my local Devonian sites :P ).

I will say I’ve seen a lot of brachiopods out here and this really doesn’t fit the bill, unless it’s something I haven’t seen a depiction of before (entirely possible).

This looks more promising to me but so far in searching I’m having a hard time seeing the angle I’m looking at. Do you know of any diagrams of rostroconchs from the Devonian I could reference?
