Marine Jurrasic fossil

Hello

i found this fossil near Riyadh

it is from the Hanifa formation(156million years old)jurrasic.

I was in the transition zone between coral limestone and sandy limestone.

I think the area I was in was a shallow  sandy sea floor.

Does anyone know what this may be.

thank you so much for your time

i appreciate it.

Would you like to give more views of the object?

Whats the fine structure of the object?
Thank you!

Looks sort of oysterish in its form to me, although in its structure it appears to be pure stone.

Could it be a sponge?

Hard to tell! In the last pic, I can see some sort of microstructure, but can not really make sense of it. Maybe its something like a sponge in the widest sense.

Very remotely something like this:

or that:

I do not rule out that it was a coral. Details would have to be seen. Macro shots of the presumed calicinal surface are necessary.
Nor would rule out coral in some of Franz's specimens. In this case I think again of Ahrdorffia without ruling out chaetetid sponges of the Diplochaetetes type or similar.

Could be, could not be...

Sorry, no more definitive answer handy.

But first, we need more microstructural details. Its even not completely sure your specimen is a fossil...

Stromatoporoid?

I'm thinking trace fossil -- a bit of a fossilized burrow. But, yeah, more pictures would help.

(And don't mistake me for an expert. The experts certainly won't.)

Although i'm inclined to think it's a sponge, i won't rule out a coral. Hard to decide.
