Tooth (?) Found in Buncombe County, NC

Greetings,

This is my first time posting here so I apologize if I don't get this quite right. I'm hoping to identify what I think may be a fossilized tooth. It looks to be a specialized tooth so I am assuming (perhaps wrongly) that it's mammalian in origin. It was found in an alluvial deposit on my land in Buncombe County, NC. I apologize that I am holding my find in several of these pictures; I couldn't work out a better way to get pictures of all sides. Any help would be much appreciated.

No, I’m afraid this is just a pointy rock, probably not sedimentary.  Your county is primarily metamorphic rocks and fossils are likely to be rare.

Sorry, the rock in your area and in all of the North Carolina mountains is too old for fossils.

Teeth would have enamel, and bone texture to any remaining root.

This looks like a metamorphic rock of some sort, to me.

No real tooth shape or textures, no enamel/tooth morphology.
