Howdy!
I recently went to Post Oak creek, and ended up with more matrix than I can immediately use. Rather than let it sit unsearched, I figured it was worth a shot to post some up for trade here. Each bag has a pound of material in it, and they have proved to be very productive. I’ve found numerous ptychodus teeth, a (poorly preserved) lobster carapace, shark and fish vertebra, various bones, coprolites, and of course, lots of other shark teeth. So there’s lots of different things that can be found. I’ve got around 25-30 lbs I’d be willing to trade.

I am primarily interested in vertebrate material, but I’ll also look at ammonites, and really anything else since I’ve finally gotten back into collecting again.

I have searched a lot of Post Oak Creek matrix as well and it is a blast. So many microfossils and teeth you can find. Unfortunately I also have a bucket full at my house as well that I haven't sorted yet but I would love to see the teeth and other items you have found if you wouldn't mind posting the pictures.

Bulldozers and dirt Bulldozers and dirt
behind the trailer, my desert
Them red clay piles are heaven on earth
I get my rocks off, bulldozers and dirt

I’ll take some photos tomorrow morning of some of the items I’ve found, I apologize for the delay replying, school has kept me pretty booked for the last week! :)

It really is a blast to look through, I’ve found some surprisingly large teeth in it as well, and the oysters are quite wonderfully preserved. I even have found a partial jaw with a tooth intact. (Still unidentified) The really small teeth I’ve always found in excellent condition with cusps and root intact.

I have traded 11 pounds, I still have quite a bit I’m happy to offer others!

As promised (Albeit late), here’s some photos of recent stuff I’ve found in this matrix.
