Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. This isn't actually a fossil but a geologic oddity known as Cone in Cone structures. 3 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Mark Kmiecik
And a very nice specimen thereof. Definitely collectible. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
Cathy H
Thanks so much for the answer, and compliment on the specimen! I searched many images and books on fossils before joining the forum, no wonder I couldn't identify this one. I am very happy to have found this group, and enjoy looking at other member's finds. 1
Fossildude19
As stated, this is a pretty nice example of Cone in Cone structures. Definitely a keeper. I hope to run into one as good some day.
