Shellseeker
Whenever I get one of these toe bones,, I go thru... it is not horse, it is not deer, it is not... Armadillo toe bones look something like this but not really, and predator phalanx (except for medial) are similar .... 1st photo shows it leans to left, thus a right foot toe bone... A couple of different views. Then a bigger bone that I believe to be 60% of a Calcaneum... Lets see if there is enough to identify: Edited January 23, 2022 by Shellseeker The White Queen ".... in her youth she could believe "six impossible things before breakfast"
Harry Pristis
From the symmetry, you can eliminate many common megafossils. Consider a severely-worn tapir proximal phalanx. The bone fragment appears to me to be the proximal end of an ulna of an unknown critter which is not a horse. 2 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

You are one of the (few) experts on Florida fossil bones. I was finding Makos, multiple Equus teeth, bones (Ulna, Radius) and carpals, 5 similar wear/coloration Giant Armadillo osteoderms, and then some odd bones. Did get one Nannippus lower tooth. I have found a few Bos premolars previously but never anything that made me think of Bison, so I'll consider this Ulna modern going forward... Amazing that the telltale details are just below the break. I thought the toebone might be Armadillo, but thought better of it... There was a vert and hoof core that look somewhat like Tapir, and combined with finding tapir on previous hunts, says tapir toe bone is a very reasonable option.
