BenK
Hello, been a while since I've been online, but getting back into the fossil world! Here is a specimen that is about 4 inches on a large rock that I would like to try an extract. Does this look like a trilobite to you all? Eastern MO. FossilDAWG
Odd. I don't see anything, really. Maybe it's a "where's Waldo" kind of a thing? Don
Fossildude19
Possibly an orthocone cephalopod. I see what appears to be a crinoid columnal as well. Top Trilo
I agree, I don't see any trilobite. Could the part I circled below, be a cross section through a cephalopod? “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. BenK
The larger item at the bottom of the image is the one in question. Thanks for the feedback. Now that I’m looking at it again, yes it may be a ceph. cross section.
MarcusFossils
It kinda resembles an Isotelus pygidium but I have my doubt judging by the apparent lack of relief.
