PSchleis
Myrtle Beach, 2022 this piece has a very shiny top like enamel. Reminds me of the very type of enamel I find on drum fish teeth. The underside seems to have a defined opening. I am including a photo of the side showing how the enamel meets the dull gray side. this piece is 1 inch long. thanks! Fossildude19
This looks like a crusher tooth from a pycnodont fish. Something like Anomoedus phaseolus. 5 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Plax
An uncommon find in those black gravels at the beach. Lots of Peedee formation fossils there like Cucculea steinkerns, Squalicorax teeth and the occasional ammonite fragment. 1 hour ago, Fossildude19 said: This looks like a crusher tooth from a pycnodont fish.
