I believe this to be a bit of ironstone, not a fossil.  Ironstone is an iron oxide concretion that can form odd shapes, some with a resemblance to a fossil

Side note:  I used to live near Emerald Isle, and know the area well.  Have you been to Haywood Landing?  It's a public boat ramp upriver from Swansboro.  Lots of small, Oligocene teeth if you can find the exposures (veg covered)

I live 45 minutesfrom Emerald Isle. Haywood Landing is in the Croatan National Forest. Current Federal Law prohibits the collection of vertebrate fossils and limits the amount of invertebrate fossils you can collect. So it is illegal to collect sharkteeth from there.

Somehow the last picture reminds me of a gastropods, one in longitudinal section, but I could be wrong.
