hemipristis
I believe this to be a bit of ironstone, not a fossil. Ironstone is an iron oxide concretion that can form odd shapes, some with a resemblance to a fossil 1 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' hemipristis
Side note: I used to live near Emerald Isle, and know the area well. Have you been to Haywood Landing? It's a public boat ramp upriver from Swansboro. Lots of small, Oligocene teeth if you can find the exposures (veg covered) 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' Haywood Landing is in the Croatan National Forest. Current Federal Law prohibits the collection of vertebrate fossils and limits the amount of invertebrate fossils you can collect. So it is illegal to collect sharkteeth from there. abyssunder
Somehow the last picture reminds me of a gastropods, one in longitudinal section, but I could be wrong. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
