Rabbit
Found this specimen on the beach in Lewes, Delaware (USA). Small iridescent shells and other shell shards throughout. It is about 4cm long at its widest point. Recently read about regurgitates and this looked similar. Anyone know what I have here?
Plax
Neogene rock with mollusks from offshore pumped up onto the beach through renourishment. Very interesting! Doesn't quite have the look of the paleozoic rocks washed down from the mountains further up the Delaware river. 1
Rabbit
That means the 10 year old who said it was shells that were hardened in mud was right, not the momma. Very cool! Thank you!
abyssunder
It' not a regurgitalith. It's a sediment with shell remains and molds. I can see nice gastropod remnants there.
