I love the colours of the fossil and tha matrix in these specimens and the preserved detail on the blastoid is incredible.

Hey Bobby, I just came across this. I'm already following Jamie Lynn's thread and it's looking like I'll have to follow this one too ;). It's nice when you just have a few minutes and want to get your fossil fix for the day.. I have a similar problem of not wanting to devote a lot of energy/time to reading some long dense book or article... not dyslexic but I have a hard time concentrating for very long before my mind starts to wander (ADD?). I'm tempted to start a similar thread myself but I'm afraid it would fall by the wayside like most of the other things I've started... so maybe I'll just keep posting my new acquisitions in the mailbox thread.

Cheers!

Sadly no. I do not. Maybe the kids have a pair lying around here somewhere. :zzzzscratchchin:

Time to dig in the toy box!

EDIT: Love the added macro shots. Thanks for that!

I understand you, it is a commitment but I have a little free time at the moment. I also have fun playing with the macro lens or turning some of them this week into 3D . The problem with mailbox for me is searching it for your old posts, it can take sometime too long . I will repost some of fossils from other threads here in the future to get it all in one place. I am keeping digital  copies of the posts too.

all the best Bobby

Exactly like here! But I have found a solution. I am doing - beside my family obligations - what I want to do as long as I want. After that, I am switching to another piece of work, doing something different. In that way, I am nearly always doing something "productive". That´s something I would like to call a "happy life".

Sorry for highjacking this thread a little bit, thanks for sharing your collection, @Bobby Rico!

I've also thought about doing the Gallery thing, as a way of archiving and showing pics/info of my collection, but haven't really looked into it yet.

Very cool Bobby. How big (or small) are they?

It is a small chunk of matrix 3“ by 2“ approx . You must have been thrown by my amazing macro shots.

You are right. I was thrown off!

The first picture had me thinking it was a smaller piece. Then the macro shots had me second guessing. Thanks for clarifying! It’s a lovely specimen.
