hoffy
A few months ago Ken @digit, had a post looking for Florida turtle specimens for a Flmnh project. A week later I went to the Peace and found this Apalone softshell. I hoping Ken post requests for a carnivore project next. After the Tampa Club fossil show this guy's new home will be at FLMNH. I also have quite a few vertebrae to prep as soon as I find some time. Edited February 5, 2022 by hoffy 1

digit
Looking good. I've found Apalone carapaces relatively intact at Montbrook but only random fragments in the Peace River. Cheers. -Ken

Mark Kmiecik
I just love those 3D jigsaw puzzles -- always leave obtuse angles in the course of assembly. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!

digit
I got to see this donation to the FLMNH this week. It's a really nice looking reconstruction of an Apalone shell. Jason is quite pleased with this new addition. I'd suggest that @hoffy post some images of this to the gallery page of the Fossil Contributions to Paleontology using the guidelines for formatting: http://www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/102935-fossil-contributions-to-paleontology-the-gallery/ Cheers. -Ken
