Hi All!

I believe this fossil to be authentic, but I was hoping to gather opinions from more experienced collectors than myself.

Can you help me out?

It's natural. Authentic. Nice prep. Fork glued, but probably just removed (and reattached) to prep it freestanding (although sometimes a flying fork is a sign of composition), it's normal.

Adding to the confirmation of it being authentic. It's quite nice; I had my eye on it. :dinothumb:

Considering efforts and time that go into finding these and then efforts and time and tools that go into prepping and luck to be complete preserved, I'ld guess it was still too cheap - especially compared to what people pay for non-spiny non-moroccan bugs... or compared to what a hairdresser or a dentist earns in 1 hour. -_- Prolly took an experienced preparator 20-30 hours just to prep, now multiply that with the rate of your dentist (and that's just a part of the costs behind a bug like this).

Very nice! the prep is good but as mentioned by others the fork is reattached and glued but very normal- otherwise it would be nearly impossible to prep it free.
