minnbuckeye
I am in the process of identifying the Chondrichthyan teeth that I have been extracting from Burlington Limestone collected this summer. Possibly a dermal denticle instead of a tooth? 4. 5 .
connorp
I think #3 is part of the root plus a cusp of a cladodont tooth.
minnbuckeye
@connorp. You are correct! I went back and looked. The spot of the fractured main tooth is fairy evident. I had not noticed that before.
deutscheben
Very interesting specimens! I wish I could help with IDs, although I can see some that are similar in shape to teeth documented in my old Geological Surveys of Illinois, the names have most definitely changed since that was published. The first one is reminiscent of the type of element found in the dental battery of something like the Orodus, though.
