Thomas1982
My dad sent me some pictures of Peace River fossils that he would like to have identified. I am unsure about either - the mammal tooth might be partial camel, but that's just a guess. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
PODIGGER
Your first specimen is very worn from tumbling in the river and could be the remains of a camelid tooth. The second appears to me to be a piece or chip of a mastodon tooth. Give it some time and others may be able to be more definitive.
Al Dente
The second one could be the cementum off a whale tooth. Just a guess, but it has the impression of a banded pattern typical of whale teeth.
