Big Brook, NJ. Not glass or metal. Shifted through a lot not sure of the id. If a fossil impression your specifics/details would be appreciated. Thank you.

Paleozoic fossils do show up in the brooks, but I'm pretty sure this isn't one of them.

I think the chain like appearance is in an ironstone concretion. It's also possible that this is slag from past industrial activity in the area.

This is the impression of a bivalve shell. I have found several; just like this. I'm pretty sure the genus is Granocardium.
