Melinda B
A person found this fossil and ask the Natural History Museum of Cal Poly Humboldt where I work, if it is a fossil of a dinosaur egg. With my limited knowledge I said that it is mostly like a coral because of the texture. It would be appreciated to see what this group thinks. Thanks!
Tidgy's Dad
Please could you either post higher resolution photographs or close ups of the surface detail? And include a ruler for scale? Where did they find it? Could be a coral. 1 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Fossildude19
I'm in the coral/bryozoan camp, due to the seemingly branched areas in the circle: 1 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Mark Kmiecik
Definitely NOT an egg. I concur with the coral ID. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
