Found on the Meramec River in Roberstville, MO

 

Any help with ID is appreciated. Thanks

Most of us can not "see" heic formats..  Please replace with .jpg or .jepg

This looks like a concretion or nodule to me.

Maybe chert.

Chert nodule is what I see.

It is not an egg.  Evalution of possible artifacts probably needs different experts - a local university archeology dept is a place to start
