darthdasko
Hi guys! I started venturing into fossil collecting recently. If anyone can help me, I have questions about a "spinosaurus vertebra" I bought. I started to distrust the seller after I had already made the purchase, although the reviews are practically 100% positive, I was afraid after some research and observing other cases. I didn't know the forum before to guide me, so what do you think? And taking advantage of the post, I also have doubts about this Pachycephalosaurus vertebra, what do you think? TyrannosaurusRex
The huge amount of attached (glued on) matrix is not a good sign. There is also a coloration difference from the top and the rest of the piece. I think it is a Frankensteined piece. Some of it is real, some potentially created or selected from other pieces of random bone. Could you provide a measurement for the piece?
darthdasko
Sure! 8 cm length 14cm height 6cm width Or about 3.2 x 5.8 x 2.4 inches
Guns
-spino vert is highly composited to make it look real ( some part on centrum look real tho ) - the other vert is just a fragment of vert I think it quite hard to ID in as pachy base on only fragmented piece. best regards Guns
