Found this North of Black Canyon City. There were numerous other fragments that were being exposed by erosion.

In this case, I think it's a very aesthetic (yet deceptive) rock. I see where your thoughts were on this one. Other members will be able to tell you hat type of mineral/rock you have.

Looks sort of like quartz and chalcedony. Did you find it in the Miocene basalt layers?

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
