Has anyone ever seen fossils that have been crystalized?

Yes. It's called being goedized. I'm afraid I don't see it here though. This looks like chert, or flint to me.

If you are meaning to say that this is a crystalized carcharodon tooth, then I'm afraid that you are mistaken. This is more than likely an interestingly shaped piece of chert. But to answer your question, yes I have seen many fossils whose substance have been pseudomorphosed into various crystal substances such as calcite, quartz, opal, pyrite or markasite. Or as Rockwood already mentioned, some fossils, such as bivalves or ammonites with vugs are crystalized out.

There is no bone structure to be seen on any of these.

Some bear a superficial resemblance to skulls, but I'm afraid pareidolia is at work here.

Interestingly shaped bits of chert, but nothing more.

They are coming out of 60-90’ of ground on top of a sandstone. There’s quartz everywhere on the ground, is how I started finding these things. I have a lot of teeth that are crystals. I see a lot of signs of volcanic activity.

In the original picture, half is fossil the rest has filled in with quartz.

No evidence of teeth or skulls in any of what appear to be pieces of chert, as others have stated.

As for the claim of volcanic activity, is that part of your area's geologic history? Are you finding basalt? That said, any presence of volcanic activity would likely significantly reduce the chances of finding fossils as the extremely high heat would destroy any and all organic material.

Hi,

With such a large number of photos you should have numbered them, it would be easier for us to answer.

That said, some of your pieces remind me of gypsum. Check if you can scratch them with a nail, you will have your answer. If you can’t, it’s made of a harder mineral.

But in any case, there is nothing fossil here, as the others have already told you.

I have videos of when I find some of this stuff and it looks like a glob of snarge, but when I get it cleaned up OMG! My hands shake and I’ve seriously thought I’ve gone crazy.

I have crystalized teeth. But I’m at work and fixing to clock in. I’ll take some pictures tonight and post them. I’ve been bringing as much in as possible. I’ll grab some rock samples.

I agree completely with your statement. Therefore I would suggest that you stop making unsubstantiated claims about crystalized teeth and mineralized skulls and pay more attention to what more experienced people are trying to tell you.

There are volcanics in Texas. There are remnant volcanoes in the Upper Cretaceous and there are much much older igneous and metamorphic in the Llano Uplift.  So don’t just toss his comment about seeing “volcanic rocks”.

But as others pointed out these do appear to be mainly odd shaped chunks of chert.

I actually look forward to more photos.

Agree with the others. Your rocks are showing crystalline minerals like chert but there are no signs of any fossils in anything you have presented so far.

If you believe the vague shapes you are seeing are indicating that your rocks represent teeth or skulls then you are being fooled by a phenomenon that our brains use to recognize familiar objects from incomplete visual information. It is part of the pattern matching software that our brains developed over countless generations and has served our species well. Occasionally, it tricks us into seeing things that are not actually there:

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of great fossil information archived here and knowledgeable members willing to help. If you come to the forum with an open mind willing to accept new information then there is much to learn here.

Cheers.

You've already posted this one, old chap.

I think people are waiting to see new photos, especially of the crystallized teeth.

This one and several of the others have all the characteristics of Selenite (a form of gypsum as @Coco mentioned).

The bottom photo shows a how it split along a cleavage plane.

It can be highly reflective or satin like on its surface, and it can be full of impurities that stimulate the imagination.
