Done Drillin
Found this piece of bone in the Peace River and I’m thinking it is possibly a fractured piece of a bison (or cow !) front leg ulna ? Thank you for helping with the id
Done Drillin
Except for the fractured area with exposed cancellous bone it appears to be largely cortical bone with a articulation at the widest end
val horn
it is a piece of bone, but it will be very hard to id it beyond that point because it is so fractured.
Done Drillin
Yes it is pretty busted up - what I was picturing ( with a fair dose of imagination !) is the proximal end of an ulna with the pointed end being the “knee “ and it’s associated articulation at the other end and the entire long bone missing - but probably like I said a little too much imagination trying to figure out this very damaged specimen
