All of these came from Oregon or Washington State. My kids tell me they're just rocks...

I know for sure that quite a few of them are more then just plain rocks ..right? :)

Welcome to the Forum.  :)

 

That is a lot of rocks!  Metmorphic and maybe some metamorphosed sedimentary rocks, but rocks, none the less.

I see some pholad bivalve drillings/borings in some of the rocks, but am not seeing anything immediately recognizable as a fossil, or as a worked artifact.

It there something in particular you believe to be a fossil or artifact here?

Jules - Though they do all look like rocks - I think this is a pretty cool thing too!  :tiphat:
