johnnyvaldez7.jv
I found this nice little bone today on a gravel bank here in SE Texas. I think it's part of a humerus and even though it has some missing pieces and some wear I am thinking it belongs to a bison. Also this is the second piece I've found where it feels heavily mineralized but yet it flakes like a biscuit.
JohnJ
For comparison. By the way, now you can say,..."I found this humerus!" 3 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
johnnyvaldez7.jv
The Fossa and Lateral condyle from the bison reference you, JohnJ, provided appear similar to mine. That angle seems correct. Although the other side is pretty beat up it also appears the medial epicondyle lines up with it as well with bison vs bos.

Always nice to find a bone fragment that contains one of the articulating ends preserved in decent enough condition to make an ID. johnnyvaldez7.jv
Would this be the distal end of the humerus?

Note the terminology on the figure above the humerus in the link. 1 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ
