Authentic Spinosaurus claw?

Hello everyone,

 

I came across this Spinosaurus claw. I was wondering if this claw is genuine. It looks to me like it consist of multiple fragments added together.

Interesting claw.   The distal end looks reasonable with some poor repairs but the rest of the claw is a big question.  Ive never seen an articulation with that protusion and the entire back end is a real head scratcher with lots of red flags.  Hard to say what has been done without hand examination with a UV light.   A lot going on with the claw and for that reason why risk a purchase.   To spend good money on these big spino claws they should be clean, without repair patches and no obvious red flags.

I saw this one as well. It looks better than most of the "claws" for sale. Part of it seems to be a real claw. But there also seems to be a lot of reconstruction work done. I'd avoid this.

tip has been done, whole fossil is mixed from two or three bones, some parts are filled with ???. I think it is 50% original, but it looks like the most you can get on the market..., great handwork

But, it is really hard to get a 100% perfect one, they are really really rare

I agree. But it looks better than most ones you see. And its also a big handclaw .

 

If you can get it cheap perhaps, otherwise I would pass.. 

Maybe try to get some uv pictures
