Yet Anther Post on Electric Saws

I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on how to cut open large fossil boulders? Its not as though I’ll be taking every fossil in the boulder, and I’ll be sure to leave material for other fossil hunters. The more outrageous the suggestion, the better. By the way, car battery acid is NOT an option in this case.

To achieve what you might expect to do with actual boulders, you would likely need a gas-powered rock saw (minimum 12" diamond blade, ~4500+ RPM). An electric saw would have to be connected to a pretty good power source, and you would also have the issue of the cord (if corded). There are cordless rechargeables, but from what I hear from those who have used them, they are not really all that good for doing more than quick, small cuts.
