Petrified Wood?

Hey guys, yet another I..D. request from new fossil spot, which is a deep creek bed which drains a diverse area ranging from Miocene to Jurassic. Wondering if this could be fossilized wood. Any thoughts?

I'll say maybe, but it looks kind of coarse/too grainey for me, So I'll say more likely a very waterworn rock due to the rounded edges/showing fine alternating layers of sanstone/siltstone?.
