NC Quarry Access?

I haven’t been active on here in years and caught the hunting bug again after moving back to NC.

I used to hunt the Castle Hayne and Belgrade Quarry in NC when they had it open to hunters.

Does anyone know if they still allow hunters or are the quarries in NC closed now?

It's clubs only now and not all quarries are open. I'd suggest joining NCFC to get the low down.

My two favorite NC quarries, Lee Creek (Aurora) and Rocky Point, are closed to collecting.  The last time we were at Rocky Point, they were planting trees in the fossil collecting areas as part of their recovery process.  I can't say anything about Castle Hayne or Belgrade.

When I'd left the area a decade ago, the only quarry in the central part of the state still open was the Martin Marietta Clarks Quarry NW of New Bern

10 years ago all ofthe Martin Marietta quarries were open. However, sadly, most now are not.

@sweeneyb I would suggest the same as @Plax

That is what I was talking about. All of them closed at the outbreak of covid.
