Help needed IDing fossil in Syracuse, NY

I was hiking with my dad, a little Southwest of Syracuse, and came across a rock. On one side it almost looks like rings from a tree. On another side it has crinoids and some sort of shells. I was wondering if this might be fossilized wood? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum from Liverpool New York! What you have is sedimentary rock. The circles are most likely mineral staining.

I'm not sure the top one is a fossil.

The bottom are some brachiopods.  There are a few here that might be able to speciate for you

I think there could be Liesegang rings.

Thanks!  It was just so weird to come across, especially because it’s not painted.

I can't be certain, but I think the brachiopods are orthids.

Also, some crinoid remnants in the upper right of the second photo.

Sweet, I live very close to Liverpool! Thanks for the info! The rings were definitely very intriguing. I’ve never come across anything like that before!
