Ludwigia
Well, it certainly is not an egg fossil, but I'm also curious to get some info on this from someone who is familiar with the Formation it was found in. Sure is an interesting looking find. Size? Looks like you attacked it with an angle grinder. Please tell us exactly where you found it and then maybe somebody here can narrow down the stratigraphy. Or do you know yourself which Formation it's from? 1 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Drewmgoff
The rock was found in the mobile home community where I live. The whole area is fill that was brought in from somewhere else, but I do not know from where. Disappointed to find it is not an egg. I thought that was a possibility because if the thin white broken cracks. Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

Fossildude19
Some sort of septarian nodule or concretion would be my guess. 1 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
