Very interesting and not a surprise, they are not first to publish that.    I was happy to see the sail reconstruction back to normal, Ibrahim's looked odd.  Guess  Sereno and Ibrahim won't be collaborating any time soon.  This debate will continue a nauseum but its good.

Yep, I'd say you could've probably just as well not have posted this and waited for the response article claiming Spinosaurus was, in fact, aquatic after all :BigSmile:

 

Wonder how long it'll take for that argument to be asserted again... :popcorn:

Of important note: the paper mentioned in this thread is for the moment only a preprint yet to be peer-reviewed. Also, figure 7 of the preprint doesn't include localities for the recently named spinosaurid taxa CeratosuchopsIberospinus, and Riparovenator as well as the spinosaurid Camarillasaurus, which was initially classified as a ceratosaur.
