Is this a jellyfish? Mazon Creek, IL

Hi! I’ve been working on opening some nodules from Mazon Creek, IL, and opened this one about an hour ago. I’ve been looking at pictures online of jellyfish and have seen some loosely defined like this nodule, though this is probably just a regular old concretion. What do you think? Thanks!B264247B-2239-4358-80F3-D6FD614D7A04.thumb.jpeg.01c18ae91dbd1dc4fd405fad5f3aad3c.jpegA9CF399C-3FA7-4AD6-AC85-2B97DEC2F68A.thumb.jpeg.bad2dd5e257b7678ceb074dc78918875.jpeg3F53AB58-BD74-4890-A44D-C037F6D4EB86.thumb.jpeg.23105459dee047465c9050e8dfc74707.jpeg

P.S. In hindsight I realize that wetting this nodule down wasn’t particularly helpful lol

I think it's fracture marks, but there are plenty of folk with more experience of the Mazon Creek than I, so let's see what they reckon.

Yea, this is an Essexella. The preservation is not great but it is not unusual to find them preserved this way.

Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
